CHURCH GROUP TRAVELS TO SWAZILAND

The Youth Group of Saint Matthews Anglican Parish celebrated the new year by travelling to the nation of Swaziland.
After raising adequate funds through church fundraisiers and a stall at the December flee market, the youth group of Saint Matthews Parish were able to go on a trip to the Land of The Swazi they had been planning throughout the year.
On the 3rd of January they embarked on their exciting journey out of South Africa. Upon arrival they stayed in the town of Mbabane. Their accomodation was at a Christian retreat called Thokoza. The journey was supervised by the Saint Matthews rector, Reverend Barnabas Nqindi.
The trip was an exciting learning experience for the youngsters and all of the youth members enjoyed it.
Along with Reverend Barnabas Nqindi and his wife, Rumbi were:
Llewelyn, Quinton, Nicole, Realene, Londiwe, Clive, Khulekani, Happy, Dillon and Protus.
Two of the youth members that went on the trip (Llewelyn Lambert and Quinton Mamela) passed matric in 2009.
In 2010 the youth group is planning a two week trip to England which they will be raising funds for.
